Prior to joining Michael Best Strategies, Katie was a full-time lobbyist while executing her role as a senior associate with Precision Policy Group and with Mendez Consulting. In this role, she built upon her expertise in healthcare, agriculture, and political strategy. In addition to lobbying, she also managed strategy and fundraising for campaigns run by the firm, built relationships with potential new clients, and advised current clients on long-term political strategy.

Previously, Katie was a compliance associate with Common Sense Consulting, a role in which she managed state and federal compliance for Senator Michael Bennett’s statewide senate race, and oversaw compliance regulations for congressional and state-level campaigns. She was also a compliance manager in Colorado’s 2008 Campaign for Change, creating and enforcing the campaign budget for the national presidential election and managing human resources.
