Michael Best Strategies is pleased to announce the addition of Allison Blankenship as a Director on the firm’s Federal Relations team. Based in the Washington, D.C. office, Allison brings a wealth of experience in legislative strategy, member engagement, and bipartisan collaboration to her new role.

Allison joins the firm following her tenure as Senior Floor Advisor to Democratic Whip Katherine Clark, where she advised on debate procedures and voting activities in high-pressure scenarios on the House Floor. She maintained relationships with all 213 Members of the House Democratic Caucus, serving as a trusted resource on legislative processes and vote strategy. Her work included leading weekly briefings for more than 200 senior staff across leadership, committees, and all personal offices, and coordinating with bicameral and bipartisan teams to schedule legislative activities.

“Allison’s deep understanding of House operations and her exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships across the aisle make her an invaluable addition to our growing team,” said Tory Sendek, Head of the Federal Relations Group at Michael Best Strategies. “Her experience advising senior leadership and managing complex member communications will be a tremendous asset to our clients navigating the federal landscape.”

Before, Allison served as a Floor Assistant to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, where she helped enact major legislation, including the Inflation Reduction Act, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, and the CHIPS and Science Act. Her earlier roles include Legislative Assistant to Congresswoman Lucy McBath and Staff Assistant to Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, where she led constituent engagement programs and coordinated bipartisan legislative efforts.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Allison to the Federal Relations team,” said Alison Prange, Managing Director of Michael Best Strategies. “Her track record of strategic member management and legislative insight aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver results for clients in Washington and beyond.”

Allison holds a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She also serves on the boards of the Hutchison School National Alumnae Board and the St. Albans School of Public Service.
