Overview

Jack supports clients navigating complex international and domestic policy as well as public-private partnership issues, with experience in foreign policy, democracy promotion, strategic planning, and cross-sector coordination. He brings a deep understanding of U.S. foreign policy, international partnerships, and the grant funding landscape. His work spans over 30 countries and includes direct engagement with senior government officials, civil society leaders, and multilateral institutions.

Before joining Michael Best Strategies, Jack served as a senior program associate at the International Republican Institute, where he led the full-cycle management of more than $5 million in democracy and governance grants. He coordinated directly with U.S. government agencies, international stakeholders, and partner organizations to advance shared priorities and support programming aimed at countering authoritarian influence. Jack also planned and executed international trainings and conferences for participants across Europe, Africa, and Asia—managing everything from speaker coordination to crisis response.

Jack previously supported the U.S. Trade and Development Agency’s Power Africa initiatives, where he monitored and evaluated over 25 active grants and contracts across the Sub-Saharan energy sector. He coordinated partnerships between public institutions and U.S. private sector firms to support major infrastructure projects across the continent. He has also served at USAID’s Bureau for Europe and Eurasia, where he facilitated field missions, briefed high-level principals, and helped launch regional democracy initiatives. Earlier in his career, he interned with the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition, supporting government relations and legislative tracking.
