Overview

Ninio brings over a decade of experience in the executive branch, national politics, and corporate strategy to support clients’ policy, regulatory, and government affairs needs. With a background at the intersection of strategic communications, external affairs, and public policy, he offers a comprehensive understanding of how decisions are shaped and influenced in Washington.

Before joining Michael Best Strategies, Ninio was a director at Brunswick Group, a global strategic advisory firm, where he advised Fortune 500 companies and multinational organizations on legislative and regulatory advocacy, government oversight, and high-stakes crisis and litigation matters. He managed Brunswick’s U.S. Healthcare and Life Sciences sector and was a core member of the firm's U.S. Public Affairs Practice, helping to grow two of its largest offerings.

He previously served as a presidential appointee throughout all four years of the Trump Administration. Most recently, he was director of strategic communications for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, where he was part of the agency's leadership team and led strategic planning and the rollout of major policy initiatives for the $1.2 trillion federal regulator.

Experience

During the COVID-19 pandemic, he was detailed to the White House to support the Coronavirus Task Force and Operation Warp Speed, serving as a liaison to senior appointees across the executive branch on external communications and interagency coordination. Earlier in the administration, he served as a White House spokesman, leading domestic policy rollouts and working closely across the Executive Office of the President and federal agencies.

He began his career at the Republican National Committee supporting presidential, Senate, and House campaigns and contributing to the 2016 Republican National Convention and 2017 Presidential Inauguration.
