Ryan Losak advises clients on federal policy, appropriations strategy, and government relations, bringing deep experience to corporations, municipalities, and nonprofit organizations. He helps secure federal funding, shape legislative approaches, and navigate complex regulatory environments—particularly in energy, infrastructure, healthcare, financial services, and defense.
Before joining Michael Best Strategies, Ryan served as vice president at a full-service public affairs firm, leading advocacy campaigns before Congress, the White House, and federal agencies. He supported clients by leading the firm’s appropriations efforts, federal RFP process, and managing communications strategies that built support and elevated policy objectives at senior levels.
In the U.S. Senate, Ryan served as legislative assistant to Senator John Boozman (R-AR), managing portfolios that included healthcare, education, labor, telecommunications, pensions, and Social Security. He developed appropriations requests, drafted policy materials, and liaised with federal agencies and White House staff. His experience with Senator Boozman’s team positioned him to effectively navigate Washington’s policy machinery on behalf of constituents and clients.
